About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), working with teens, college students, and young adults in Austin, Texas.
I am also a proud South Asian, millennial, and child of immigrants (what’s up fellow third culture kids!). Outside of the office, you can find me dancing, trying new desserts, reading short stories or poems, doing puzzles, and connecting with friends and family.
Approach to Counseling
My approach to therapy is warm, relational, culturally-conscious, and solution-focused. I strive to be an anti-racist and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist by providing decolonized mental health services and celebrating all of your strengths, gifts, and identities. I believe you are the expert of your life and should dictate your needs for therapy. I am here to provide a space for you to be yourself, fully and wholly.
I also share practical tools for you to feel confident in tackling the challenges that come your way. This includes incorporating skills and techniques from Relational-Cultural Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Restorative Practices.
So, what are some of these practical tools good for?
Regulating your emotions
Identifying and challenging negative beliefs
Reframing your thoughts to build more positive ones
Becoming more mindful and reducing physical manifestations of your mental stress
Building awareness of your self
Developing more effective communication skills
Restoring relationships
Setting goals to promote your growth
Learning to conquer adulting
Sound like what you’re looking for? I got you.
